The average person knows six realtors. Six! Here are three easy, but important, questions to help you whittle down your list and find the realtor who will be the best advocate for you and your needs.
1. How do you connect with other brokers in your community?
Every week I go on broker tours to not only see new inventory, but to meet the agent on the other side of that transaction. I like knowing who is active in their market and love putting a face with the name. In a multiple offer situation, you want your broker’s name to stand out in a positive way!
2. How do you analyze market trends?
We are lucky to have an in-house economist that breaks down and predicts housing market trends. My clients get a focused approach to their particular market so we don’t leave any money on the table.
3. How would you describe your communication style?
This is HUGE. No matter where you are in your real estate journey, find an agent you can count on to be responsive. My clients get weekly updates at the very least… Even if there’s nothing to report. This is also important because it determines how smooth (or choppy) your transaction will go because your agent must communicate well with all other parties.
Who you work with matters! Spend a little time finding an agent who knows the market you’re considering inside and out.
